History of X-mas 2012

Starting from November 11^th a "Christmas Exhibition" will be open in our showroom. This is a new "Winter Story", into which our designer Olesya Roskos invites you to dive. Her characters have fun playing in the clouds, hiding in the houses and baskets, juggling snowflakes and make withes on the eve of fairy-tale Christmas and New Year.

 And here Olesya will explain how this story and the new Christmas catalog which you can access on our website were born and created.

"... Every story requires writing. The artist doesn’t need a talent of a writer for it - he "writes" drawings. Of course, all is preceded by a period fantasy - diving, searching for the moods and characters of the heroes, their environment. The protagonist of the New Year - a dragon - a mysterious and elusive figure – is from heaven. It took a while to seek out and find it. The dragon seemed to tease out of the clouds - and did not appear. There were different versions of his appearance, as it was then thought, guessed. Dragon, which appeared in the completion of flight, arrived surrounded by his friends - angels, snowmen, Santa Clauses, stags, fish and snowflakes. I became interested in painting their stories already. Here they are - in anticipation of presents, there - spinning skating or flying across the sky. Then dress up the tree all together.

Here are the sketches received and now it’s time of their embodiment - "revival" in the beloved and familiar to all felt. This phase we literally lived together in a painstaking search with the head of the toys workshop of Art group "Tumar" - Tatiana Fedoruschenko. She added her invaluable trait as a master - work with design and templates, sample making. We enthusiastically picked accessories: belts, beads, thread. You know, we were seized by "baby" mood while collecting "treasures" in the boxes, chests and beautiful colored cloth lace and ribbons. The process of "animation" was in progress all spring. Our heroes were born and just waiting for the next incarnation in the pages of the Christmas catalog.

It was my first such experience in making of the catalog. I have prepared technical and production photos by myself as well. It was a separate process - it was important to implement the conveying in photos as accurate and precise as possible. Production photos captured me and also led me to my childhood - my sister and I loved to construct entire worlds of toys and towns, around it the fairy-tale forest or to arrange different stories with them.

I wanted each series to be presented on its own. The game "in dishes" – locating the white cups on a white tablecloth, decoration with angels and stars, reindeers and Christmas trees, folding pastry and chocolate dragees ... sweet moments of work.

The structure of the directory is very simple as it is; the intension was, of course, to bring its own distinction. The first pictures - the reconnaissance – have become a bridge leading from concept to the real thing. On each page there is a drawing on a theme - an angel, a bag of gifts or a cheerful snowman, reindeer and festive Christmas tree, playful dragon, cunning angels in the clouds and houses, fast fish, and even flying Santa Claus.

With them the book-catalog obtained warmth, and even tenderness. The combination of colors itself gives the same feeling of tenderness. Therefore, our directory’s conditional name is "Gentle Christmas."

The second series of products has been adapted for European customers - "Traditional Christmas" (which is published on the website), where the combinations of colors: red, green, gray, white - also convey a festive winter. Here, I think that the brightness of the "red" is rowan berries, the traces of the bird's feet in the snow - the "gray", the heavy scent of pine needles and resin - "dark green", frozen icicles on mittens and lots and lots and lots of snow - "white."

For me it was important to convey the mood of the holiday light lager, in anticipation of a new miracle, kind gifts and Christmas sweets. Let this friendly gay company help you find your star, light up a smile and by all means find your gift!

 Now, when the exhibition is framed, all the toys and holiday accessories are on their places – you find yourself with a smile recalling the time of preparation and in general preoccupation about the result, the excitement. At heart it’s calm and warm. Ahead of a new challenge and meeting with unfamiliar characters ... "
